Carota`s Pizza in Augusta

I’ve lived near this “establishment” my entire life. I’m not sure what has happened to the place over the years. The service is horrible. The workers are rude and not properly trained. The pizza is ok when they don’t burn it and give you what you actually order.

Wife, kids, and I decided to go out to eat on a Monday night. We decided on Carota's since our oldest wanted pizza. I love Carota's food but we usually only get carry out. We went in and sat down and it was a very long time before anyone waited on us. We thought maybe we were supposed to order first then sit down. We weren't sure. We eventually got a waitress who took our order. After a while other people were coming in and ordering. We waited and waited and then noticed some of the others were already eating. We eventually got our food and by this time our drinks were empty. Long story short food is good service is lacking. We actually heard a waitress walk up to one table and say "what y'all want to eat?"

This spot is awesome! Convenient pricing, big portions and the staff are constantly helpful.

Service was extremely slow and the fish sandwich tasted pretty much like a Gordon's frozen filet. Meh.

Clean restaurant, charming decor, friendly, efficient staff and delicious food!

It would be so much better if on a scorching hig day the umbrellas outside were already raised and providing shade/ relief from the sun. Would make for an inviting patio and a cooler place to sit. OTHERWISE- the food is great. It's been about a decade since I've been here and the pizza and sauce are at least as outstanding as i remember. Will be back!

Stopped in over a very busy Memorial Sunday afternoon as wait times at the other restaurants were over an hour. The service was fast and orders a delicious large deluxe pizza. The sauce was sweet and tangy and toppings were fresh and good quality.

Always an enjoyable meal at a reasonable price. Never too crowded to find a table. Friendly service and good food. The loaded fries are some of the best you will ever have - they have had them on their menu years before they became trendy.

My first time here. This is a small, very charming place where you can chat and feel like a part of this beautiful community. Everyone is so friendly. The waitresses were very helpful, always smiling and made us feel welcome. There was a really good variety of foods on the menu and it was so good. Prices were also very reasonable. Loved it.

Good food friendly staff.

Food is mediocre for the price. Was seated at 7:15 PM and brought our drinks. Wasn't checked on by the waitress until 8:12 PM and told our food was nearly ready. A great reminder of why I swore off this restaurant a decade ago.

Friendly staff and the meat toppers pizza was fantastic. Homemade crust is delicious.

*Edit* Food was good. There was an honest mistake between the cash I paid and the amount of change I got back. Even after they couldn’t reach me by phone, they kept the correct change and were able to give it to my mom a week later by making a connection between our last name. I appreciate their honesty and willingness over $10!

Arrived with high hopes. Cute place inside and out. I was disappointed in the value of the food. A little over priced. Main thing though was service. Quite slow and very rude. A very unfortunate visit.

We travel to and visit Augusta Kentucky a few times a year and typically try to visit Carotas Pizzeria. Ingredients are always fresh and tasty. The dining room is comfortable but a little small but they do provide tables outside for eating also.

Very good pizza. Thick crust, plenty of cheese, great sauce. Nice atmosphere in a great little Rivertown. If you're looking for good pizza and a nice destination try driving to Augusta and exploring the town on a nice weekend. Highly recommended.

Always been great.

I've traveled to Augusta for heritage day and stopped here to eat! So far I've waited an hour and a half for my food! When a arriving the dining area was not very busy however every table in the place was dirty! Took twenty mins to clean which was only taken off my table to the table next to mine with customer's still waiting to be served also sitting there! This place is a joke! Food was all wrong! Will never eat here again! 3.49 plus 1.50 for cheese for 20 French fries! This place deserves zero stars!!! I want a refund!! Total waste of my Saturday afternoon!

At the first moment you enter that place team give you a great feeling. Very warm crew, it is a good place to pass time with buddies or with your date. enjoyable cooking, experienced chief cook and stuff, modest pay and generous service. Highly recommended.

I visit this spot a lot since I work nearby. I like how their service is always good and they keep the spot well kept at all times. Prices are fair and they serve big portions.

Traveled to Augusta today on July 4th. Found this little place to be one of the best small town restaurants I've visited so far. The staff were very nice and the food was perfect! Thanks Carota's!

What a horrible 1st visit. I travel all over and when you visit a mom and pop looking restaurant you expect really good food and a wonderful experience. This being one of the only restaurants in town I was highly surprised it was completely empty besides myself. I asked the waitress if the chicken parmesan was good and if it was real chicken. She said it was so I ordered it. It ended up being a quarter inch thick frozen chicken patty that they attempted to Grille and it was quite disgusting. Overall the spaghetti was cooked correctly in the sauce I'm sure comes out of a can and was not made in the restaurant. I'm very surprised a larger food chain doesn't just buy this place and sell better food. The highlight of the dinner was the garlic bread. It was cooked perfectly crispy and seasoned wonderfully. I will try this place again in the future and maybe give it a better review when I try something else that's been frozen and cook to order.

Incredible small town experience!

Very disappointed in my first visit to Carota’s. Poorly run restaurant. Only had one waitress waiting on tables. Took nearly an hour for our food to come out. The pizza was fair at best and the garden salad consisted of 4 pieces for lettuce and 2 tomatoes. Had to bag to get our check at the end. If you’re visiting Augusta there’s other neat restaurants worth checking out ahead of Carota’s.
